The route
There are plenty of stopping points on this circular three hour route that takes in some places associated with Romantic poet Lord Byron.

Places to visit
Starting at St Mary Magdalene Church, in Hucknall, walkers can pay homage to the burial place of poet Lord Byron and his daughter, Ada Lovelace. Visitors can also admire the building's beautiful stain-glassed windows and next to the church find the statue of Byron located high above street level in the wall of the old Co-op building. There is a chance to stop at Linby village and to stop off at Newstead Abbey known as the ancestral home of Lord Byron with a fascinating historic house, gorgeous gardens, and 300 acres of parkland to explore.
