All non-accessible images on the site are currently being looked at and replaced, and News and Events posts are only kept for the year we are in – any existing images that do not meet accessibility requirements will either be removed in January 2026 or are of some retentional importance and will be replaced by March 2026.
The ‘Discover Ashfield’ drop down menu has a known framework issue that prevents the drop down menu being dismissed / closed without moving the pointer focus.
As this issue requires significant work to amend, it has been scheduled to be part of the site’s major works rebuild which start in April 2026 and concludes in July 2026.

People using the app with adaptive tech may encounter issues using the map within the website, but the map is used for navigational purposes so is not covered by the regulations.
Our website will be monitored for accessibility issues to allow all members of the team to react to any issues. Tests will be automated and manual.
Digital accessibility training will be provided to all website editors, to allow them to identify and correct any accessibility issues on the website.
