Bagthorpe is a small village in Ashfield close to Underwood, Westwood, and <a href="/places-to-visit/jacksdale-village/" title="Jacksdale">Jacksdale</a> villages. This Nottinghamshire village is included in the <a href="/places-to-visit/hidden-valleys/" title="Hidden Valleys">Hidden Valleys</a> area that is gorgeous countryside north of <a href="/places-to-visit/hucknall-town-centre/">Hucknall</a>, which has miles of waymarked rural walks, cycle paths, and bridleways. Bagthorpe has beautiful scenery and is a great stop for a drink at one of its country pubs.&nbsp; How to get there By car: Exit at junction 27 of the M1 and take the&nbsp;A608&nbsp;exit to&nbsp;Mansfield. Continue on Mansfield Road/A608 and drive to Lower Bagthorpe. By train: Langley Mill train station (4.2 miles) or Kirkby in Ashfield station (5 miles).
