In detail
The leisure building should be opening later this year with an operator who will be running a quality restaurant and bar on the first floor, with views across the water. The ground floor will be home to a range of water sports from paddle boarding to kayaking, opening access to the water for visitors from Ashfield and beyond.
The boathouse is a unique offering in Nottinghamshire, being one of the only locations providing water sports outside of the city centre. It is expected to give a huge boost to the economy and surrounding area, attracting visitors from neighbouring towns and cities.
The restaurant and water sports will complement the offers already available at the reservoir from Adventures and Mill Waters Café.
