Selston village is part of the Hidden Valleys area with beautiful countryside and wonderful walking and cycle routes. Visitors can head to the excellent Selston Country Park is a beautiful green space that has a café, playground, and hosts an annual outdoor summer film event.

The Grade II* listed St Helen's Church in Selston was created in 1150 AD, and the front of the building was updated in 1899. Worth a visit for its architecture, the historical destination also has a monolith in its churchyard suggesting the site was used for pagan worship before the church was created.

How to get there
By car: Exit at junction 27 of the M1. Take the A608 exit to Mansfield and drive to the B600 in Selston.
By train: Kirkby in Ashfield station (4 miles).
