Grassmoor Country Park

Grassmoor Country Park in Derbyshire, has lush meadows that are ideal for walking, cycling, horse riding, and having a picnic. Found at the northern end of the famous Five Pits Trail, this park is a wildlife haven filled with butterflies, water voles, skylarks, meadow pipits, and grass snakes. Fishing is allowed at the large pond in the country park all year round.

How to get there
By car: Exit at junction 29 on the M1 and take the A617 exit to Chesterfield. Continue on A617 to Temple Normanton.
By train: Chesterfield train station (3.3 miles).
