In detail
Known as North Kirkby Gateway, this project is focused on utilising derelict land to provide quality housing in the town centre. The former factory shop which was on the site, was demolished in November to make way for a modern apartment complex with 20 apartments and flexible ground floor space. The new building will act as a new focal point for the town centre and will boost the local economy through increased footfall.
The apartment building will act as a welcome sight as visitors enter Kirkby, being greeted by a sign of investment and modern living rather than an empty property.
