In detail
Funded by the Council’s Future High Streets Fund, the dilapidated building underwent a full interior refurbishment. The top floor houses 14 business units of varying sizes to allow small businesses, start ups and existing businesses a professional and affordable place to operate from.
The ground floor was transformed into the Makerspace – a community space to learn new skills, collaborate on projects and use the professional equipment. The Makerspace features different areas, each dedicated to a different type of craft such as electronics, woodworking, metalworking, textiles, CNC, 3D printing, and has a podcast studio. The Makerspace will open to the public this year.
