September 2025 – Council’s old depot building is demolished

In detail
This is a two-part project, developed with West Nottinghamshire College, with half based at their existing engineering campus, and the other half based at the Council’s Northern Depot.
Phase one of the project has been completed which saw the railway training facility relocated to their Engineering campus, where courses are now underway.
Phase two will see a new training facility based at the new development at the Northern Depot. This will offer real site experience and qualifications up to university level in civil engineering. The new facility is currently under construction and is expected to open later this year.
