Stanton Hill village

Stanton Hill is a village in Ashfield found close to Teversal and Skegby villages, as well as neighbouring Brierley Forest Park. The area is where Skegby Colliery used to be located, which experienced an increase in population due to workers moving to the region in the late 1800s. Today its High Street has shops, cafés, restaurants, and pubs, and it is a wonderful place to stop off during a walk or cycle ride through the green spaces and surrounding countryside.


How to get there
By car: Exit at junction 29 of the M1 and take the A617 exit to Mansfield/A632/Matlock towards Stanton Hill.
By train: Sutton Parkway train station (3.2 miles).
