In detail
The derelict land next to Kirkby train station needed modernisation and offered a prime location for redevelopment. The Council is now building 12 one-bed and two-bed flats with onsite parking, planting and cycle storage.
The building design will also reflect the industrial heritage of the site, incorporating designs familiar to the history of the railway and its workers.
This project will address a need for an attractive welcome into Kirkby whilst providing quality housing on the edge of the town centre.
