The trails follow the track beds of the former colliery railways. Along with the local footpaths these provide a network of varied and enchanting walks through countryside. Abundant with wildlife, much of the network has now been designated a Local Nature Reserve.
The Visitor’s Centre, located in the village of Teversal, Sutton-in-Ashfield, offers free car parking, picnic space and toilets.
The village of Teversal is within easy walking distance, where DH Lawrence allegedly stayed and based Lady Chatterley’s Lover on the village.
