The urban area of Ashfield is well served by public transport links. Hucknall is on the NET Nottingham tram network and is the most northerly stop on the green line. This provides access to a host of destinations including Nottingham Trent University, The Theatre Royal and Nottingham city centre, Nottingham train station and Wilford and Clifton, south of the city. Changing on to the purple line gives access to Queens Medical Centre, University of Nottingham, Beeston, Bramcote and Toton.
